The plot will be based on the book by biographer Walter Isaacson, who wrote “Steve Jobs.”

Information has appeared on the Internet that a film will be made about entrepreneur, engineer and billionaire Elon Musk. The biopic will be directed by Darren Aronofsky - he directed the films “Mom!” (2017), Black Swan (2010) and Requiem for a Dream (2000).

According to Variety, a biopic about Elon Musk has already entered development. The production will be carried out by A24, known for the films “Everything Everywhere at Once” (2022), “The Lighthouse” (2019) and “Reincarnation” (2018). It was also A24 that released Aronofsky's The Whale (2022), starring Brendan Fraser, who won an Oscar for his role.

The plot will be based on the book “Elon Musk” by journalist and biographer Walter Isaacson, which was published in September 2023. Isaacson also wrote Steve Jobs (2011), which Danny Boyle made into a 2015 film of the same name for Universal, starring Michael Fassbender as Apple founder Steve Jobs. A fierce battle took place in Hollywood for the right to film Isaacson’s “Elon Musk,” with A24 emerging as the winner.

Elon Musk became famous after he founded SpaceX, a spacecraft manufacturing company, in 2002. Musk was also an early Tesla investor and eventually became the auto giant's chairman, a position he stepped down in 2018 after being sued by the Securities and Exchange Commission. In 2022, Musk acquired Twitter (the social network is banned in Russia), after which he fired many employees and renamed the service X.

Darren Aronofsky is known for his bold and controversial works, in which he often uses a surreal style. His disturbing and somewhat crazy "Black Swan" was nominated for an Oscar. He can clearly handle a film about such a controversial person as Musk.
