Danish audio equipment manufacturer Tangent introduced two compact devices called DAC II and Ampster TV II. Their names indicate their purpose. Tangent DAC II is a 24-bit audio DAC based on the Saber chipset, complemented by a headphone amplifier. According to Tangent, this is "a solution for anyone who has a traditional amplifier but now needs an economical and compact preamp."

The new product receives digital signals on one coaxial, two optical digital inputs and a USB port. In addition, there is a Bluetooth module with aptX support. Outputs are unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR on the rear panel, plus 6.3 mm and 3.5 mm headphone jacks (both options) on the front panel. For greater convenience, a remote control is provided.

Tangent's second new product, Ampster TV II, is, according to the company, "the ideal amplifier for enhancing the sound of your TV." This miniature device claims a power of 100 W. It also has Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD support. In addition, there is an HDMI cable input, and even a subwoofer output.

In the UK, the Tangent DAC II costs £250 and the Ampster TV II costs £200.
